I don't get the NRA political paper, given that if I read too much of it my head would explode. But has anyone heard whether the NRA is bringing any political heat to try and get the contempt of Con-gress resolution passed?

The NRA is "scoring" the contempt vote and will show who voted how on this thing...

BTW, I purchased a nice little used Smith from one of the Carter Country stores in the Houston area some time ago...I distinctly remember filling out the applicable paperwork and them calling it in (pre-CHL). I whole-heartedly agree with Mr. LaPierre's assessment on this mess, especially since the current administration invited the Presidente of Mexico to D.C. to tell us "evil" gun owning Norte Americanos it was our fault that the violence was so bad in his country, and that HE, the Presidente, wanted tougher gun laws here in the USA.
