As for as the sub topics, no problem in not adding them, what I can't find/easily find here I'll find elsewhere. So no change there. I still enjoy the the forum and support the cause.
As for as the hunting pics, no biggie there either, just one more topic to either pass over or take a look at.
On a side note:
I think the hunting pics may have some educational value other than sharing stories.
As a hunter, who has dressed out deer, cornfed pigs ( See Boucherie,
http://mostlycajun.com/wordpress/?p=716" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ), ducks, rabbit and squirrel ,it's no issue for me, I've seen the most gruesome (buchering) things that can be done to an animal.
I just find it odd that people would be squeamish/averse about those sorts of pics in a forum like this. Do they really know what it means to be a CHL or even own a gun?
I think people should be reminded/educated what a gun can do. So when it comes time to decide if it's right to pull the trigger in a defensive situation, you really know the consequences. Seeing ( and actually having splattered red tissue in my hands) dead animals has definitely had an effect on my way of thinking. I know what a gun can do if I pull the trigger, and what can happen to me if I don't. I feel I'm less likely to make the wrong decision because of it and I am safer in my gun handling/storage and have heightened situational awareness.
To many people, little holes in paper are all they know. To anyone who owns a gun and more so to those who carry for defense, if youre not a hunter, maybe you should check out the hunting pics, it might put things into a little better perspective. Hopefully, you will be less likely to lose your temper in an argument or make you more aware of your surroundings so you're less likely to be reduced to a pile of splattered red tissue.
