:iagree: I love wearing fishing shirts when i carry since it helps keep me cool. Depending on the brand, some allow me to carry OWB with no worries of any sort of printing.
:iagree: I like the Magellans. Except every time I wear one people ask me "are you going fishing" or "did you catch anything". :lol:

Only tradeoff is that the fabric is SO light that a mild breeze can blow it up to reveal the pistol, so I just button one button when I'm out in the wind.
I have some of these shirts too, both short and longsleeved, and they work great for concealed carry.

I have a Filson Travel Vest that I like to use if I have to fly; I put all my stuff in the pockets and keep it all together through security. I sometimes use it as a cover garment, too. If anyone has ever given it a second thought, they haven't said anything. I have to admit, if it 'screams gun' to another CHL holder or to an LEO, I really don't care. I think most people just aren't going to notice, in a casual setting, at least; and I don't think your average miscreant is thinking that far ahead.

OH, they might see it, but you have that badge thingie. :mrgreen:

Maybe I should get a CHL badge? :smilelol5:
:leaving
TBH I often don't wear my badge because I'm too lazy to remove it and reinstall it from the uniform. Since I wear the vest under the uniform shirt, I can get a few shifts out of a shirt.

Usually on my 3 day weekends I'll bring it home, and I'll wear it to crowded areas.

What are those things the Arabic Shieks and Swami's wear? They look to be comfortable and should allow CC. :woohoo

Okay, that's a new phrase for me. What is that?

Thanks for the link. Those are....different. A lot of them look sheer/transparent too. Seems like that wouldn't work out so well with the concealed part. ;-)

There was an old post about the Guayabera shirt. I am an not an expert, but I think that it refers to the style or cut, not the shear fabric. viewtopic.php?f=53&t=47583&p=582065&hil ... ra#p582065" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This one looks like it would be perfect for an Aggie CHLer. ;-)

If someone is looking for a light (I mean real light) vest take a look at a Royal Robbins vest. They are not inexpensive but are quality.

Thirding the Dickie's shirts. They are great.

I'd recommend trying them on at a uniform store or something before ordering them online, though, because for whatever reason all the styles of shirts are cut completely different.

The two-tone ones are cut like a size larger compared to the standard work shirts, for example.

I have a few Hawaiian shirts and they work great. I don't like the looks, but they work great.
