That moment when....

That moment when someone asks you for a completely random thing (a band-aid) and you conveniently pull it out of your EDC bag.

Makes carrying around all that crap worth it.

A lot of my wife's friends know if they need something opened to ask me if I have a knife on me (because 99% of the time I do).

They don't know that I carry a gun 99% of the time too.

I've even had one of her friends make the comment "Are you always carrying a weapon?" (meaning my knife). Thinking of the .357 in my pocket, I just smiled and said "usually". ;-)

It is nice to be handy. What all goes into your EDC bag if you don't mind me asking? Sounds like its more than a pistol/reloads. First Aid, extra ammo, food/water?

love that example

I took a girl on a date once, who had to babysit her nephew, so we went to the Ice rink, (so he could skate and we could talk) he got a cut and I pulled a bandaid out of my wallet and she was totally impressed ...

A couple hours ago, I filled jugs with water for my brother for drinking and toilet flushing, and let his wife shower and spend the day in my ice cold house ... he isn't a prepper ... electrical Main box burned out, I had built him a 200 amp meter loop and breaker main in the 1980s he left on the ground instead of installing back then, (because the top was too long and he didn't think about using a hacksaw) It is all corroded now so it will cost him $450 to buy the parts and have an electrician put in 100 amp new breaker/main box and use the antiquated meter loop. I understand it would have taken an hour to use a hacksaw and there was stuff to watch on TV so ...

I can't help it sometimes; still suggesting he put in water storage tanks for his well and start preparing.

I told him I want the wire back, there's about $200.00 in copper wire there I used in that meter loop and "extra" "rlol"

My EDC bag is basically my school bag + get hom bag. Major Items:

-First Aid Kit
-Water
-Spork
-Scissors
-Knife
-Flashlight & 2 chemlights
-Mini pry-bar
-leatherman wave multi-tool
-charger for iPad/iPhone
-iPad
-2 spare magazines
-2 AA batteries
-assorted pens/pencils

That is my normal pack-out. I think there is more info in this thread : http://texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php? ... it=edc+bag" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but I don't remember what all I put in there.

Church secretary knew I'd have a knife on me so she asked to borrow it. I asked, small, medium or large? For some reason she gave me a strange look as she said medium.
