I was only referring to the second one, and as I stated, I found it highly entertaining and a refreshing take on an ancient-cultures take on military ceremonies. I admit it had only a superficial similarity to Western military ceremonies, but that does not lessen its value in my eyes.Charles L. I didn't see it as humorous at all.
It reminded me of British changing of the guard ceremonies (which I assume it is derived from for obvious historical reasons), USMC drill-teams and the like.
It also was refreshing to see two nations that are constantly fighting openly or covertly against one another engage in such a cooperative ceremony.
I in no way mistakenly take this as a demonstration of Military prowess.
I really thought it was cool.

I am relatively sure that I have seen those same US Armed Forces Drill Teams up close and personal over the decades. I still think the USMC Silent Drill Team is pretty-wicked.
