House of Blues update?

Post by Rex B »

I plan to go to House of Blues to watch the Bricks in the Wall group tonight.
Can anyone tell me if I can carry there?

Never been there before, any other suggestions welcome.

According to the TABC site they are not a 51% location. I'm not sure if the Dallas one is 30.06 posted but the last time I went to the Houston one, it was not.

The one in Houston is a blue-sign establishment, but in the times I've been there, it's a 50-50 shot of them wanding folks on entry. That's a shame, since the Houston location isn't a great place to be after dark, but the woman wanting to see a concert wins sometimes.

Great, thank you

I looked for that on the TABC site but I guess I was looking for something more specific than sign color, like "51% yes/no"

Yeah, they did it just like the license SIGN=BLUE or SIGN=RED. Blue is the Unlicensed Posseision sign (not 51%) and Red is the 51% sign.

In DLS, you have the option of passing the metal detector, or reteiving your vehicle from wherever the valet parked it. At least you'll be strapped on the way to the remote parking.

You can, (could last visit) go the the cafe, wait too long and pay too much for a halfway decent meal, and go hear the music w/o passing through the wands or reading whatever sign may/may not be displayed.

You'll only get fleeced in the Las Vegas House Of Blues. In Dallas, you get fleeced, then skinned.

VIP patrons might not view restrictive signs of go through magnetic wands. From the street to the ramp leading to the auditorium door, you will be searched magnetically well before enforcable signs are visible.

The HOB had (has?) uniformed security people riding around in golf carts in the parking lot area. Your vehicle, and whatever you have placed inside it, will be well protected.
