Mob Of Teens Steals $3K Of Jeans From Wicker Park StoreCHICAGO (CBS) – A mob of more than 20 teenagers descended on a trendy Wicker Park shop on Saturday and made off with more than $3,000 worth of jeans.
They are getting better organized and using the power of numbers to confuse and steal. Since it is hard to catch them all or even defend yourself against them.

Correction, production of jeans that might cost $2 and then sold for $200.snatchel wrote:Crime # 1--Stealing $3000 work of merchandise from a store

So tell me why $20-$40 video games are in a locked cabinet but $200 jeans (which are frequently stolen) are not chained to a rack?C-dub wrote:Correction, production of jeans that might cost $2 and then sold for $200.snatchel wrote:Crime # 1--Stealing $3000 work of merchandise from a store

These mobs are becoming the new trend and they need to come up with a method to deal with these cases. As a customer, I would be a wee bit afraid because the violence is going to escalate as it does when they feel they need for more of a "thrill".

In gun free Chicago of all places, what's this world coming to? How many of them looked like the son that the current POTUS never had...and the daughters?

They blurred the faces of the flash mob, so they couldn't be sued for showing them on TV without their permission.
A famous rapper appeared on a video in "nudie jeans" so they are in high demand. The shop owner plans an event around "nudie jeans" August 9th, but he will have police security.
Police security to sell jeans.

I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

It's time for a ban on rappers. They are banning everything else in this country, why not ban those obnoxious fools? After all, all they "rap" about is dope, booze, violence, stealing, killing.....well, you get the idea. Is it any wonder our youth is the way they are? The rappers are their teachers!philip964 wrote:A famous rapper appeared on a video in "nudie jeans" so they are in high demand.

They are more of a bad influence than video games. If it wasn't for that pesky 1st Amendment and personal responsibility.tomtexan wrote:It's time for a ban on rappers. The police could try one of those stings. Advertise that if you were one of the people seen in the video that the news showed just come on down to fill out a report and identify yourself in the video and we'll take care of you. But, alas, it is the Chicago police. If they started locking up all those folks who would vote for Rahmbo Dead Fish in the next election?emcee rib wrote:philip964 wrote:They blurred the faces of the flash mob, so they couldn't be sued for showing them on TV without their permission.
