Lunch w/ Mom

Post by longtooth »

I dont do fast food at all.
But
Today I was out w/ Mom. It was 11:00 & we wanted to beat the lunch rush so stopped at Chick Fill A.
Took us an hr to get inside & get our order.
Talked to several about CHL, carry, New to Carry, & training. Passed out a few cards. Long line & wait but good conversation.

stopped at one in Round Rock (took brother to doctor, no 30.06 sign though I read the newest anti-gun issue of Newsweek in the waiting room) ... hour was the drive thru; 20 minutes to find parking spot ...found one, parked ... crowded so much, couldn't get in the door ... gave up, drove to ATexasGirlsGuns store in Liberty Hill, they have plenty of AR stuff but sold out of AKs except one in .22 ... brought my brother back home in my city n had a Taste of Texas TV dinner
I didn't know they had a special designated day for everyone in Texas to go there ... "rlol" :smilelol5:

Today was supposed to be a boycott/support Chick-Fil-A day due to all of the recent controversy.

Chick-fil-a should write a "Thank you" note to the folks who proposed the boycott for the massive influx of business. :evil2:

I went to the one in Kemah at lunch today. It had a line out the door and the drive thru had 40 cars in it. Gay marriage and gays in the military doesn't really bother me, but I find the mind set that you must intimidate into silence those who disagree with you to be highly offensive. Perhaps it's the redneck in me, but I am glad their anti chik-fil-a protest turned into a pro chik-fil-a rally.

:iagree: I have always admired the founder of Chik-Fil-a and his business ethics and values. They have good food too! :thumbs2:

I suppose it was that way statewide from what I have read and seen on the news, and eyewitnessed. Don't know how many stores they have in Texas but I would have to say they raked in some bucks today for a record. Good for them!

:iagree: I would be really surprised if some of their stores didn't run out of chicken.

They were reporting this noontime that some Wendy's had displayed on their signs today, "We recommend Chick-fil-a today". How's THAT for class? :clapping:
