I still don't really understand the OP. I know the new plates are stamped, but what else is unique or interesting about them?

To see if your county is distributing the new license plates yet...

I think it is just the fact that they are like they were in the old days, just plain ol' black and white. Thus the name of them, "The Texas Classic". And it's three numbers followed by four numbers, rather than the mixture of letters and numbers followed by a mixture of letters and numbers.

Stamped? Are you sure about that? On mine, the "number" is completely flat, unlike the old one where the "number" is raised.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

The format on mine is LLN-NNNN. L=letter and N=number
I think it can be any combination. I've seen several on the road.

If they are not stamped, they need to go back to stamping them.

Oh, no. Not those classic ones. Just the regular ones.

The number is the LLN-LNNN. TEXAS is in a collegiate font. The numbers are printed rather than stamped. Otherwise the colors and general look is the same one as I got about 6 years ago. :headscratch

I've been referring to the newest addition which are black and white. I assumed that is what the OP was about.

I just got mine two weeks ago, so maybe it's not new enough.

I saw the link and map. It says that Harris county is using the new plates, but they don't look like your picture.

I haven't seen those yet, but I have seen the reverse with a black background. I thought it was just an option if you didn't want the standard plates.

Apparently not all offices have received them yet in your county.
