
I've had experience with locking threads on other websites. . .
On the RV forum I used to frequent, this thread would've already been locked and deleted because it calls into question (not really) the activities of the almighty, all powerful, all knowing moderators.

(I don't think there's anything wrong with this thread, but on that forum, this would be viewed as "attacking" them. Ridiculous, huh?)
That forum unofficially bans even legitimate, reasoned, relevant questions about such controversial subjects as firearms

The other forum I used to frequent a lot was a financial forum that allowed people to vote positive and negative (red or green) for each post and showed the rankings. The members were snarky, bitter, rude, and ruthless to newcomers, especially if somebody naively started dupe threads.
I logged into the AR forum once and was so offended I just logged back out (by language and general web design).
Even if this forum was about something other than guns, it's by far the best place I've found online to hang out.
