Do you know the class schedule of all those students ? The ones who over slept, ditched class, stayed shacked up with the GF that day, felt sick and blew off class....No? Lol neither do the potential thieves thieves are lazy and spineless for the most part.. They go for the easy score.. Lap top and iPad plus not getting shot is better any day then maybe a gun left unsecure and possibly getting shot

Example: a student who mid-semester turns 21, gets a CHL and has to then change from one dorm to another ... assuming he remembers to inform the school and assuming the school has space in the CHL dorm for him to move to mid-semester...

Might be better, guaranteeing that everyone is over 21 in your dorm, I had a less mature room mate wanting to do TV and Pacman 24/7 while I tried to study.

As I read it, there will be no guns in the dorms. A CHL will need to check his guns into the police station each night and check it out on the morning.

My attitude would be "concealed means concealed", since it is now clear that having a gun is not a criminal offense, just a college policy offense.
