I HATE thieves!
I just got a call from one of my best friends and his house got broken into in Corpus. They stole a couple TV's, his laptop, and several rifles and pistols.
I believe they got at least six. I will post tomorrow the make/model/ser#'s and hopefully these lower-than-life [insert words that cannot be published here] criminals will be caught!!!!

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.

Very important to keep detailed records of your firearms along with pictures.

This is my take on thievery. They have taken part of your LIFE away from you. Each of us has a finite amount of hours on this earth, we just don't know how many. Some of those hours are spent working to obtain the money to pay for the things we need or want. Once those hours are gone, you can't get them back. When a thief takes something you worked to get the money to pay for, they are in essence SAVING the hours of their life it would take to pay for those items, or at least spending a whole lot less of those hours in the commission of that crime. IF you want those items again, you now have to spend MORE hours of your life to make more money to purchase them again. Meanwhile, the thief has converted those items into money and can now use that money to buy what they want with it. They have taken YOUR hours on this earth and "added" to the amount of hours they can spend doing what they WANT to do instead of HAVING to do. They steal more than "stuff", they steal part of your life. All that said, our fine court system cares more about thieves than the law-abiding citizen. You can explain to me how that isn't true, but if you stop a thief during the commission of said crime with deadly force, the law gets madder at you than the thief. Not saying I'm going to go shooting any thieves anytime soon...I can't afford it.
EDITED TO ADD: Yes, I care more about MY life than the life of that thief. I don't go around purposely taking other folks' stuff. I work to earn what I have; I spend MY HOURS.

Well said. I would add that in order to get more stuff, you have to work for it again, therefor they are stealing your future life as well.

Grandpappy told my pappy, back in my day, son,
A man had to answer for the wicked that he done
Take all the rope in Texas, find a tall oak tree,
Round up all of them bad boys, hang them high in the street for all the people to see

Re: I HATE thieves!
No, that would be double dipping. You work for it, you buy it, it gets stolen, you work for it again, you buy it again. so, you've worked for it twice, but end up with only one of them. You're only out one. It's either from your past, OR your future, not from both.Jaguar wrote:Heartland Patriot wrote:This is my take on thievery. They have taken part of your LIFE away from you.
