SCOTUS on the Ballot this November.

SCOTUS on the Ballot this November.
It matters not who your preferred candidates are or were. What matters is, the next President and the Senate will be responsible for appointing one or more Supreme Court Justices. Get out and vote, encourage your friends to vote, for a President, and a Senate, who will protect and further our interests before the Court. We need conservative justices to protect more than our guns and Bibles. We need them to protect the American way of life as envisioned by the founders.
"There is no difference between communism and socialism, except in the means of achieving the same ultimate end: communism proposes to enslave men by force, socialism—by vote. It is merely the difference between murder and suicide." The Monument Builders, Ayn Rand (1962)

It may not matter at this point who your preferred candidate is, but it most certainly matters which is your least preferred.TacShot wrote:It matters not who your preferred candidates are or were. Oh yes. How does Justice Eric Holder sound?
It is not beyond the realm of possibility if this administration remains in the White House.

My guess is Ginsberg and Scalia will be replaced by the next Prez. If he appoint 2 conservative originalists, there will be a 4 person conservative bloc and a 3 person liberal bloc. If, however, 2 liberals are appointed it will be 5 liberals and just 2 conservatives and the Constitution will be irrelevant.

When it comes to SCOTUS, what I really want are judges that will not legislate from the bench. Both liberals and conservatives have favorite laws that I consider unconstitional.CowboyEngineer wrote:My guess is Ginsberg and Scalia will be replaced by the next Prez. Are you not remembering what Roberts did with healthcare, you can't count on him as a conservative.

Unless there is a big shake-up in the Senate in November, I have grave doubts that a man who has been voted in contempt of Congress would be confirmed. The Commies don't have 60 votes, and likely won't so there will be a bunch of Senators who will remember how some recent appointees couldn't get a vote up or down, and that pay-backs are inevitable.donniet wrote:Oh yes. Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.
