Hope for everyone waiting

I had to create and account after reading this page to figure out what to expect on waiting time.
7/30 mailed all documents
8/10 pending background
8/11 background complete
8/14 manufacturing

At this rate I hope to have my plastic by next week. I've lived at three different address one out of state in the last five years and it still has moved very quickly. So FYI DPS seems to be on the ball at the moment. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Are you serious? Your paperwork must be on the desk of someone who really enjoys what they do. The DPS website doesn't even show that my paperwork has been received yet...

IIRC, Mine took between 3 and 6 months ... I assume they didn't want to stop looking at my picture ... (It was years ago, before they hired extra people and were backlogged)
But seriously ,,, that's fast.

Fingerprint was 7/30. Same day I mailed it. The longest part of the process so far was from
When they signed for it in Austin to when it showed recieved on the website (2weeks). I do have a TWIC card with the federal background check that entails and I've had another BG check in the last 6 months. Not sure if that matters.

8/20 Received CHL - time for Wally Walk!
22 days total mailbox to mailbox. Also My application status still shows as yellow on the website but everything else is green and I have plastic in hand, so don't worry about that yellow status on the first line
