VMI, please read what I said again. I DO NOT CONDONE what they are doing to this guy. We haven't been told of any credible threat the man made, and I am CERTAIN, given the nature of our wonderful, left-leaning press, that IF there was information of a credible threat, especially from a former GI, that they would be yelling it to the highest mountain tops. I simply do not believe in or agree with those theories concerning the terrorist attacks on 9/11. I hope I've made myself clearer. This story does highlight another reason I do NOT want any sort of "national healthcare system", with all the docs in the employee of the government, and very likely unionized. Way too tempting for the government to use them for its own ends.

I understood your comment. I'm just pointing out, as you allude to in your remark about the presstitutes, that if this Marine had actually broken the law, he'd have been arrested and put in jail, and the Feds would be touting the "evidence." Of course, when the Feds claim they have "evidence," that is often a lie anyway. For instance, so and so militia member had "bomb making" components in his garage.....IOW, he had a container of gas for fueling his lawn mower, rags, laundry detergent, and some empty jars. There have been a number of high profile cases where the Feds have claimed they had the goods on someone...like the Michigan militia, and the trial verdicts have been, acquitted, acquitted, acquitted.
What I'm saying is that at the Federal level, the rule-of-law is dead, dead, dead. The Feds don't follow the law or the Constitution, nor is there any longer equal protection or equal application of the law. If you're a regime crony you can openly steal $1 billion and walk away with a smirk on your face. If you're a militia member who has merely talked about violence after being egged on by a government provocateur you're arrested and tried; but if you're in a gang actually killing people and selling drugs in Chicago or LA, the authorities are helpless and can't do anything to stop you. If you're someone who may further the collectivist agenda because you protected yourself from a member of a protected class, then you're subject to railroading and political prosecution; but if you solicit kidnapping and murder on national television, you're just misunderstood. You get special consideration and benefits if you're in the country illegally; but if you're a US citizen you may be prohibited from taking a commercial flight in your own country because you're wearing a T-shirt that mocks the government.
I could go on and on with this because the Obamanation administration has been openly contemptuous of the rule-of-law, but I ask you to think back a few decades......Nixon aides went to prison for what are trivial violations of the law in comparison to what this administration has done. Nixon had to resign the presidency, essentially, for merely lying....which is SOP for the current gang of criminals. Agnew had to resign the vice-presidency under charges of failing to report $29,000 in income; Geitner got to amend his tax returns post facto and owed more in unpaid taxes than Agnew failed to claim in income, yet he got to be Secretary of the Treasury. Congress voted Holder in civil and criminal contempt --nothing is being done. Nixon's AG went to prison for covering up Watergate....again, trivial in comparison to Holder's Fast and Furious criminality.
Given what is happening right in front of our eyes, and not even considering what is no doubt much worse and happening in secret, it just doesn't make sense anymore to believe or trust anything that comes out of the Federal government. IOW, I think the benefit of the doubt has shifted, and it is now the government that no longer deserves the benefit of the doubt in cases like this.

Matthew Corrigan, Army reservist
Several months ago, Washington, D.C. resident Matthew Corrigan, a depressed veteran seeking help for a sleeping disorder, was arrested by a SWAT team after he mistakenly called the National Suicide Hotline. Despite the fact that he was neither a criminal suspect nor a suicide risk, Corrigan – like Raub -- was hauled away in handcuffs and imprisoned.
When Corrigan, an Army Reservist employed by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, placed the phone call on February 2, 2010, he hadn’t slept for several days. He dialed what he thought was the number to the Military Emotional Support Hotline. While speaking with a counselor, Corrigan mentioned that he was a veteran, and answered “yes” when asked if he owned a firearm. He then turned off the phone, took a sleeping pill, and retired for the night.
At about 4:00 a.m., Corrigan was startled awake by the sound of his name being called through a police bullhorn. Ordered to come out of the house, Corrigan did so, locking the door behind him. He was surrounded by police, handcuffed, and put in the back of a van. When the officer commanding the Emergency Response Team (ERT, the local equivalent of SWAT) demanded access to his home, Corrigan replied: “There is no way I am giving you consent to enter my place.”
David Pyles in Oregon;
Gregory Girard; On March 8, 2010, David Pyles of Medford, Oregon awoke to find his home surrounded by company-strength contingent of police -- two SWAT teams, officers from two local police departments, sheriff’s deputies from two counties, and troopers from the Oregon State Police. A few days earlier, Pyles had purchased two handguns and an AK-47 rifle. Shortly before he used a tax refund to buy the guns, Pyles had been put on administrative leave by the Oregon Department of Transportation.
This convergence of events led police to categorize Pyles — without evidence of criminal intent or derangement — as a “disgruntled employee” planning retaliation of some kind against his ODOT supervisor. The police that surrounded his house demanded that he submit to a mental health evaluation. They also seized his firearms for “safekeeping.”
and David Sarti;Girard’s “arsenal” came to the attention of the police when his wife, a psychiatrist, told them that she was afraid to return to their home following an argument. On the following day the police were contacted by the ATF, which relayed a report from someone described as a “friend” of Girard’s wife who supposedly saw hand grenades in the apartment.
At the time, Girard held a Class A firearms license and had registered all of his weapons. Glenn McKiel, Chief of the Manchester-by-the-sea Police Department, revoked Girard’s license and called in the Cape Ann Response Team (CART) — the Homeland Security State’s local paramilitary affiliate — for a joint assault on Girard’s home.
Among the specific concerns related to the police by Girard’s wife was his supposedly alarming view that martial law is imminent. In terms of his personal experience, Girard’s fears were vindicated in every detail by the behavior of the police who invaded his home.
http://www.freedominourtime.blogspot.com/The same spurious classification was used to detain and disarm David Sarti, an honorably discharged Air Force veteran and truck driver from Lebanon, Tennessee. In January of this year, Sarti was declared “mentally incompetent” and had his firearms confiscated by the state government after appearing on the National Geographic Channel’s program “Doomsday Preppers.” This was done on the pretext that Sarti, who had sought treatment following what he thought might have been a heart attack in late 2011, was supposedly a suicide risk.
During the examination, the physician brought up the subject of suicide. “I told him I can’t do suicide, because I’m a Christian,” Sarti explains. Told that he had to go to the emergency room, Sarti objected that he had to see to his farm, and went home. Fifteen minutes later, sheriff’s deputies materialized on Sarti’s property and forcibly took him to the emergency room.

Do I believe that changing administrations this fall will cure all of our national ills? Not in the least...but I do feel that flushing the current group of crooks out will help. I believe that a Republican administration will have a different focus and will also be under a different scrutiny than those in office have been given. At this point, I sure don't think it will hurt, not the way things have been going.

Re: Fomer Marine Arrrested for Facebook Postings
You know I might have thought that too three days ago. But this happened where I live in a conservative state in a conservative county. A change of administration will probably help, but if we keep terrible laws like the one being abused here on the books eventually less friendlies will come to power and they will use it against those they do not like. It really concerns me. Most of us here have CHL's that means we are on a list somewhere as being able to carry firearms. What is to keep an unfriendly official from doing this a few at a time to all of us. Just disappear us. I would not have thought it possible to do that a week ago, now, well I am not so sure. The Tea Party here in VA is screaming bloody murder about this and the powers that be are playing keep away with this mans freedom. If they have something on him, charge him, if not, let him go.

Re: Fomer Marine Arrrested for Facebook Postings
I agree, because Obama isn't what's wrong with America, Obama is the result of what's wrong with America, and that can't be changed by an election. Our problems are much more fundamental than what politician is in any particular office. Once again I find myself agreeing with Ann Barnhardt. She quotes John Adams:Heartland Patriot wrote:Do I believe that changing administrations this fall will cure all of our national ills? Not in the least...but I do feel that flushing the current group of crooks out will help. I believe that a Republican administration will have a different focus and will also be under a different scrutiny than those in office have been given. At this point, I sure don't think it will hurt, not the way things have been going.
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.
She provides a video to illustrate her point, and comments thus:
http://barnhardt.biz/The perfection of the correlation to the psychopaths running the government and financial sector is hard to improve upon. They have ZERO remorse. They are not sorry, but disgusted and indignant that they were caught, and that society has the gall to hold them to any account. They truly believe that they had not just a right, but a MORAL ENTITLEMENT to the envelope full of money because THEY WANTED IT. They further believe that since the little girl scouts were merely CUSTODIANS of the cookie money which would eventually be sent to girl scout cookie headquarters, that they, the thieves, had every bit as much right to the money as the custodial fiduciaries, the little girl scouts, and that they, the thieves, SHOULD HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO KEEP THE MONEY THAT THEY STOLE. Does that sound familiar? Ring any bells?
Don't take my word for it. Take John Adams' word for it. This nation is populated by soulless, amoral, criminal psychopaths. These people are everywhere, from the trailer park that these two skanks crawled out of all the way up to the leadership of every mega-bank, and filling the United States congress, Executive branch and judiciary. Ergo, there is no possible way this nation can survive in its First American Republic form. The constitution of 1787 is "WHOLLY INADEQUATE" to govern a nation of amoral, godless sociopaths, or even a nation with an exceedingly large contingent of amoral, godless sociopaths. It only works when the nation is constituted by a vast majority of God-fearing, inherently moral people, and that we most certainly are NOT.
IMO, we are in the Decadent phase, the last phase of our society before the inevitable collapse.

Re: Fomer Marine Arrrested for Facebook Postings
I have to sadly concur. I studied history in college. Got my BA in it. Totally useless major for getting a job. However in the past few years I have seen and heard startling things that made me immediately remember different empires and how they rose and fell. Almost all start out with morality and honor and that lends itself to a system of gov't which eventually the morality decays and degrades and then the gov't decays and degrades and becomes something other than what it was. Eventually the decay cannot be undone and it falls. Sadly, terribly, we seem to be on that same path. Can a society be saved, I don't know, it has never happened. But we can sure try. Be salt. Be light. At the same time, be ready.
These are truly scary times.

VMI, one of the major goals of the Socialist International was to destroy religion in Western nations. Not because they did or didn't believe in God or any other higher power, but because religion provided a foundation for STANDARDS. That is what our nation, and the West in general is lacking, STANDARDS...the political left felt that when they removed religiously based standards from the public, they would simply substitute their own, and that would be that. VIOLA! instant socialist society, ready to "share the wealth" and whatever other hot air these folks trot out to justify their methodology. However, it just hasn't worked out that way and we can see that. Which is why I keep saying that they can DESTROY society as we have known it, but they will never get their goal accomplished. And in the end, we will ALL suffer mightily for it.

At some point the outrage over the increasing number of instances and depth to which the government and those intent on removing our freedoms reach to remove us from the citizenry will indeed trigger the necessary response to eliminate this tyranny from among our midst.

I agree, socialism not only doesn't work, but can't work, because it is counter to human nature. However, like you say, it is effective at destruction in pursuit of its unattainable goals, and manifests certain characteristics that are apparent in every socialist State. See if the following doesn't sound like familiar chatter from the left:Heartland Patriot wrote:VMI, one of the major goals of the Socialist International was to destroy religion in Western nations. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/article ... sbp119.pdfHistorically seen, using psychiatry as a means of repression
has been a particular favorite of Socialist-oriented
regimes. An explanation might be found in the fact that
Socialist ideology is focused on the establishment of the
ideal society, where all are equal and all will be happy,
and thus, those who are against must be mad. In fact,
this second part seemed to have had the strongest influence
because even in the Soviet Union of the 1970s, where
many were not happy and society was far from ideal,
many psychiatrists still believed that those who turned
against the regime must be mad.
The political abuse of psychiatry in the Soviet Union
originated from the concept that persons who opposed
the Soviet regime were mentally ill because there was no
other logical explanation why one would oppose the
best sociopolitical system in the world. The diagnosis
‘‘sluggish schizophrenia,’’ an old concept further developed
by the Moscow School of Psychiatry and in particular
by its leader Prof Andrei Snezhnevsky,
provided a very handy framework to explain this behavior.
According to the theories of Snezhnevsky and his
colleagues, schizophrenia was much more prevalent
than previously thought because the illness could be
present with relativelymild symptoms and only progress
later.

Re: Fomer Marine Arrrested for Facebook Postings
Well, it is a standard tactic of the left in this nation that if you don't believe the way they do, you are either stupid, evil or insane. So, I would say that your assessment and comparision is fairly accurate. The only thing that separates the left in this nation from the Soviet Union is a matter of degree.VMI77 wrote:I agree, socialism not only doesn't work, but can't work, because it is counter to human nature.
