Can I carry around kid sports? (non school related)
I'm pretty sure I can, I don't ever see signs.
But I just saw a thread about schools and my daughter is in vollayball.
These are no connected to school activities in any way nor are then on school property.

As long as it's not school-related or a professional sporting event you should be good to go. Just remember.... Concealed means concealed.Moby wrote:I'm pretty sure I can, I don't ever see signs.

Just make sure that there are no school sponsored teams practicing or playing at the same park (I'm thinking of a park with alot of courts / fields).

I do not think it would matter, any more than going to the zoo with your kids and a school is there with their students at the same time,Katygunnut wrote:Just make sure that there are no school sponsored teams practicing or playing at the same park (I'm thinking of a park with alot of courts / fields).
you are not affiliated with them, so therefore you are not part of a school related function.

I've carried to a homeschool event...say a museum, there might be a PS field-trip at the same museum, as long as I stick with my kid and my homeschool event I'm fine. They can even be in the same room, I didn't sign in with them....so there

Wow, I didn't know that. I thought the restriction was against carrying at the same location that a school sponsored function was taking place. It's good to know that you are fine as long as you are not actually a part of that function.SewTexas wrote:![]()

If the function is taking place on the school grounds (parking lot, playground, etc) I believe it would not matter why you are there. The restriction would hold. If it is held somewhere else (zoo, museum, local park, etc) then it does matter.Katygunnut wrote:Wow, I didn't know that. Not correct,3dfxMM wrote:If the function is taking place on the school grounds (parking lot, playground, etc) I
if you are at a non-school function, but at a school field, and on one end of the field is a school function (soccer, football, whatever) and on the other end of the park, you are there with your kid playing on the swings, or your kid is with their non-scholastic team, you are still allowed to carry.
HOWEVER, do not go to the bathroom in the school and I would avoid doing anything right next to the school function, just so there is a definite distinction.

I think you may have misread what I said. If you are at the school playground (for any reason) and there is a school sponsored function taking place at the playground you cannot carry even if you are not participating. If you are at the playground and there is a school sponsored function taking place at the soccer/football/baseball field or in the parking lot, you can carry.Teamless wrote:Not correct,3dfxMM wrote:If the function is taking place on the school grounds (parking lot, playground, etc) I
