Running for a cause

I've been keeping tabs on this guy as he runs/walks cross-country to try and raise money to send two homeless kids to school. Since June, he's made it from Washington state to just outside Denver. His path is going to take him straight through my hometown, some 900+ miles from where he is now. I wonder if I'd have what it takes to do something like that.
