A suspect is shot in the leg after trying to rob a Papi Chulos beer run.
Police tell us that three people are now in custody.
Fernando Gallegos, 20, Humberto Gomez, 22 and Nadia Lopez, 35.
According to reports, Gallegos drove up to the beer run with the two other individuals.
Police say Gallegos held a male employee at gunpoint, and then pistol-whipped him in the face.

The news story is sparse on details
I don't know, the robber may have been shot with his own gun by the store clerk. Maybe there'll be more details later

What is a "beer run" as described in the news piece? Is it a drive through liquor store?

I've heard the term used as "They went on a beer run", meaning a trip to the liquor store,
but not in the way the news link above uses it.
