Well I just wanted to chime in and just give my thoughts (not really a review just what I think) of the IWB Butscher's IWB Hybrid Holster in Horsehide. Basically all I wanted is something for my EDC until my custom holster from Hopp Leather comes in, and this one fit the bill. Total with shipping was $55 and I placed the order last Tuesday and it arrived on Saturday via USPS mail.
Now on to the interesting stuff... the holster is really comfortable and I have no problem concealing my XDm. That said I am 6 foot and 290 lbs so I am pretty sure I should not have much problem concealing much. I started to wear one of those Haynes tagless undershirts as to not irritate my skin ($10 for a pack of 6 at Wal Mart), and started buying shirts that are one size too big since the firearm pretty much disappears under it even if I bend over to pick something up in the market. For those bigger guys such as myself I started buying the tall version of shirts (2XLT) and it takes care of covering it all up. The holster itself is very comfortable and I moved front clip one notch up to get a slight forward cant. I wore it Saturday and Sunday all day long, sitting with company, driving and just relaxing infront of the tube and it did not bother me. Now I did have to smooth out the edge resting against my body since it had some sharp corners but the leather is wearing in nicely.
Now for the pics. I have included both with dress pants and jeans and just a casual shirt.

1)Treat firearms as if they are loaded. 2)Point the muzzle away from non-targets.
3)Keep fingers off the trigger until ready to shoot. 4)Be sure of your target and backstop.
I totally agree! I hadn't been a fan of wearing behind my hip but have one of these & it is super comfortable--no trouble sitting driving and with my shirt over it--can't be seen! Thanks Jack!!

Do you wear this against bare skin? No undershirt?
These pictures have me flummoxed. I can't fathom carrying as shown.
I'll scratch my head until an explanation is offered...

it looks like his pics are with a tshirt. The top part of mine does touch skin--not bad, but I may consider getting a cami

It pretty much does, I was going to order the super tuck but they had a 4-6 week lead time... I got this in less than a week so speed was a little more important to me.

Can someone explain to me the difference between brands of Kydex IWBs? They all look the same to me. Maybe some have thicker Kydex or the molding is better? All of the flat leather backings and attachments look very similar. I noticed Butscher's is horsehide rather than cowhide. Maybe that is one big difference.

From the photos of the holster's backside, it looks like there's a lot of hardware to rub against the skin. I am flummoxed too. http://www.butschersleather.com/photos" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I absolutely swear that I looked very closely at the photos last night and it didn't look like there was an undershirt between holster/gun and skin. Today, there's clearly an undershirt there. My eyes may be getting older than I thought...
Except for the two or three actual cool months we get per year in south Texas, carrying IWB against bare skin is, for me anyway, an uncomfortable, sweaty mess.

I was fooled as well. The color of the undershirt is deceiving.

That comment resembles me.
I can't lay on the beach at South Padre, there could be a report of a beached whale and PETA might adopt me.

How thick is the Kydex shell? I like Crossbreeds thin shell as compared to Some of the thicker shell hybreds. I do like horse hyde as it does not have to be water proofed other leathers do. The water proofing makes other hydes stick to my skin and not slide so when your in the car you always have to adjust. The horse hyde is un treated and so it slides smooth. I wear my under shirt on the outside to help with printing if I am not just wearing a T-Shirt.
I love the sound smell of jet fuel in the morning.
