AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Land Commission Jerry Patterson says he'll run for lieutenant governor in 2014.

Patterson, a Republican, is a former state legislator who has led the Texas General Land Office since 2002.

If I still voted in Texas I would vote for him. As a land surveyor I have had dealings with his office for years and I like the way he does it.
