I'll just say that I think he is just a disgusting scumbag!
CNN founder Ted Turner says he thinks it's 'good' that U.S. soldiers are committing suicide in large numbers because it highlights how humans are 'born to love and help each other, not to kill.'

Ted Turners own father once said he made him want to puke. He came by his wealth after his father's suicide and discovering his father's clever tax evading scheme using loopholes to shelter enormous wealth. He used similar loop holes and depreciation schemes to grow the billboard business into a cash cow that allowed him to begin purchasing broadcast stations. He said he gave a billion dollars to the UN but at the time he did it there were a lot of strings attached ( can't recall the details) but I doubt if he really did give that amount.

IIRC the 'donation' was tied to the stock price of his lamestream media outlets. If he did not make more money the U.N. would not get it all.

Thanks. I am old and don't remember a lot of details but still can recall the big picture!

If it makes you feel better he had about 10 billion at one time. After he signed on to buyout AOL with all his money at the top of the internet bubble, AOL crashed and now is almost worthless. I think he may only have a billion left.
At least now we have on video, what he will be remembered for.
Marrying Hanoi Jane will pale in comparison.
I think she dumped him.
He kind of reminds me of former President Carter, a shell of his former self, and really someone who should not get near a microphone.
I think ole' Ted....and Hanoi Jane (never could understand why she wasn't executed for Treason)...are some of the thinly disguised evil doers in one of Stephen Hunter's books. I know I enjoyed reading it and making the connection.

As a Vietnam vet...I would still execute her.

Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.
