Hog hunting the hard way: On new 130 tollway

Drive safe folks. Just because it's 85 doesn't mean the path is always clear.

I hope the Chief scolded his officer for not whipping out his AR and sending as many
of those nasty pigs as possible to a dirt nap. :biggrinjester: Really.

So am I to understand that we can't find enough people with enough guns to shoot them things in Texas? They ought to be "endangered" is about 1/2 a season. I know you can't kill them all, and it only takes two to eventually repopulate, but I'd think just letting folks who enjoy hunting have their way for a few month ought to drastically reduce the problem. And when the one left start making new piggies? Buy more ammo.

So lets get an AR extetmination party together and fix the problem, cause I am preaty sure posting warning signs will not do anything.

I understood from the news in Dallas this morning that hunters are being paid $2.00 a tail.

http://www.kxan.com/dpp/news/local/aust ... feral-hogs" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The contest starts Monday, and it's the first year Caldwell and Hays counties have entered the contest. And as incentive to participate they're offering hunters a $2 bounty per kill.

"The key is having those kills verified and that means we need biological evidence," said Dornak.

Asking hunters to bring in tails as evidence. It's a task that won't be a problem for Bastrop County farmer Sebastien Bonneu, who takes killing feral hogs a step further.
