With the outcome of last nights election, I can imagine the folks in the blue states up north coming to Texas in droves for jobs that will be lost up there. Then that could mean a shift to blue here.
Is it discrimination to not hire a yankee? Oh, and for the record, I consider anything north of the Red River a yankee.

Refugees...they always overburden the populace of wherever they end up.
The count here in Texas was too close for comfort. There is speculation that we could be a swing state by the next election. I get so annoyed when people keep telling all their friends to move to Texas. We aren't going to be Texas anymore if half of CA and the North move down here. They already screwed up there state so don't extend an invitation for them to come do that here.
I am still angry about finding out the majority of America is willing to sell its soul for food stamps and Obama phones. Ok....rant over.

Now, now, some of us Damn Yankees (the ones who stay) moved here to get away from the stupidity of the north. I'm as conservative as they come.

They aren't lost...the Dems know exactly where they are, or else how could they know where to pick them up & drop them off for voting yesterday??

Then you consider the whole Panhandle of Texas to be Yankee Land. NOT a good thing.
I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on.
I don't do those things to other people and I require the same of them.

Well, I don’t think it matters who is president. I think the economy is going to spin, crash and burn and there is nothing anyone in Washington can do to prevent it. It will not only be the U.S. economy.
Conservatives can now whine, badmouth and dismiss liberals or they can try to learn something from this election and start slowly prepping for the next ones.
God Bless America, and please hurry. When I was young I knew all the answers. When I got older I started to realize I just hadn’t quite understood the questions.-Me

I used to live there.. It's nice now. No need to wait for global warming; just bring a jacket. And a (full) water bottle.
