MCSO Dep. S. David Everton

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Sorry for the long delay...

David had a mild brain seizure earlier this week in the hospital, that is what caused his unresponsiveness. He's doing better now, on medication for a while to control that. He was released today to go home and start outpatient therapy. He's pretty well beaten up and emotionally torn down, it'll be a long recovery. Not sure at this time of any long lasting effects of all this, only time will tell.

Thanks to all for praying for him and his family.

Any update on how he's doing? How's the family holding up?

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

David is slowly getting better. He's doing some rehab therapy for his back and seeing a chiropractor now. He's on his way, no official word on when he'll be back at work, although he could be on desk duty for a while.
His family is holding up okay, I'm sure they're ready for him to get well again. No one really knows yet the long term effects of all this, but we can only assume he'll have some degree of back problems from here on. Thanks to all for your prayers for him and his family!
