What are you thankful for?

Post by jayinsat »

Happy thanksgiving TexasCHLforum family. I'm thankful for so much this year. I'm thankful that I am out of the waiting room :mrgreen: . I'm thankful that I have a beautiful wife who's into shooting almost as much as me. I'm thankful for my faith, family and friends. I'm thankful that i'm gainfully employed. I'm thankful that we still live in the best country in the world :patriot: ...even though it is rapidly deteriorating.

Well, enough from me. What are you thankful for?

  • Salvation in Christ.
  • Marriage to my wife.
  • Fatherhood to my son.
  • Sobriety in life.

* I got to know and love my youngest son, Patrick, even if for only 12 years. He stepped in front of a car on his way home from school 31 years ago this past Monday....
* My wife of 28 years
* Our health
* Our country
* Miss BOO, our demando' kitty
* We're solvent...barely
* Our friends
* Our summer jobs in Montana

Our thankful list goes on and on and on...... There's no point in bemoaning one's fate. As bad as it appears, it can always be worse. So, if you can read this, rejoice!

The Good Lord has given me everything I have ever wanted in this life. His greatest gifts to me are my wife, my kids, my grand kids, my career and the abundance that it has brought, our good health and time to enjoy His gifts. Every morning driving to work in my truck I thank Him and again every afternoon driving home. One day of Thanksgiving isn't enough.

I'm thankful for my beautiful, smart, and talented wife and daughter.

Even though my brother and sister's families aren't speaking, I'm thankful they are still alive and healthy.

I'm thankful to still have my parents with us. Going to see them next month.

I'm thankful that my in laws are also still with us and that my MIL loves to cook for us and lives right next door.

I'm thankful to have found this forum and to have met some of it's wonderful people in person.

I am deeply thankful for the men and women who believe so strongly in the United States of America that they selfeshly volunteer to put theirselves into harms way to protect our freedoms.

Thankful to have a good wife and kids, for all the great folks I got to be friends with over my years of Air Force service, and I'm STILL thankful to be an American. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
