It's a bad situation. Like they said in a classic Cold War era move, "The only winning move is not to play."

There wasn't a lawyer. It wasn't really a courtroom it was his office. I was saying he had never been a lawyer. He is an elected justice of the peace. She submitted a scrapbook her mom made with photos of the dog as evidence. I thought my contract of sale was real evidence. anyone could snap some photos and make a scrapbook. I could make one that says I have a pet president obama. Doesnt make it true.SewTexas wrote:I thought you weren't suppose to have lawyers in Small Claims Court? then again I thought you weren't suppose to have a judge in your pocket

It cannot, for example, order a mechanic to fix your car correctly. The court could only award you the monetary damages you suffered because your car was not repaired the way that was promised. Similarly, the court cannot order your ex-husband to stop harassing you. The court cannot order a store to deliver the television set you paid for but never received. The court cannot order your roommate to move out of your apartment for failing to pay the rent. You cannot ask the court to order the other party to do anything, or to refrain from doing something. If you need an order to make someone do something or to stop doing something, other courts are available. If you win in small claims court, you can only win a judgment for a dollar amount (up to $10,000 plus court costs).
Shw will not rule on your case becuase it has already been decided in a court of law. And plus, she will yell at you a lot.jmra wrote:I think you should call Judge Judy. I bet your ex drug addict suicidal GF would jump at the chance to be on TV and this case has Judge Judy written all over it.
