We knew it was coming

Post by CoffeeNut »

“I’m going to introduce in the Senate and the same bill will be introduced in the House, a bill to ban assault weapons. It will ban the sale, the transfer, the importation and the possession. Not retroactively but prospectively. And it will ban the same for big clips, drums or strips of more than 10 bullets. So there will be a bill. We’ve been working on it now for a year,” Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said on NBC’s “Meet The Press” during a discussion about guns following Friday’s deadly mass shooting as a Connecticut school.

I wonder who the "we" is she's referred to?

before the events of last Friday I would have thought this bill had no chance... today, however I am not that optimistic

I was watching Univision this morning (Spanish TV) and Jorge Ramos (Mexican version of Anderson Cooper) said that in the firearms on the street are the same been used in Iraq and Afghanistan  One of the guests was a Hispanic congressman who kept saying Congress needs to do something about "all these guns." Neither knew what they were talking about, but that's exactly the danger... ban all guns, ban them now, seems to be what they want, so they don't care if a full auto is different than a semi-auto, or that is called a magazine, not a clip...

DO NOT BAN BAG CLIPS !!!!
I need bag clips on my bags of Fritos, Cheetos, and other chips .... oh? big clips? ... nevermind; but my niece uses big clips in her hair ... the drums played in the garage down the street maybe, but the ones in marching band shouldn't be banned don't ban the band, what would we do with a banned band?

RPB, any idea on where the stats in that picture came from? Before I use it, I want to be able to back it up. Thanks :tiphat:

honestly I dunno ... I got it off an unverified tweet
I liked the picture and saved it, but I wouldn't quote the stats in a serious argument without knowing the data from which it was derived; though liberals do, and when busted, they change topics or leave ...

could even be fictional movie stats

I do. I is 'study' done earlier this year by just a regular guy - a blogger I suppose. It is based upon media reports he could find and includes instances when the victims resisted whether armed or not.

You can find it here:
