Oooo.. FACTS and DATA... Nice.. Thanks.!
In 2004, the U.S. National Academy of Sciences released its evaluation
from a review of 253 journal articles, 99 books, 43 government
publications, and some original empirical research. It failed to
identify any gun control that had reduced violent crime, suicide,
or gun accidents.15 The same conclusion was reached in
2003 by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control’s review of the nextant
studies.16

The quote from the PDF should read as:

publications, and some original empirical research. It failed to
identify any gun control that had reduced violent crime, suicide,

studies.

Liberal anti-gun activists do not let fact and truth get in the way... They thrive on Emotion and they are working hard to make these "evil rifles" banned. You can't have a civil conversation about guns... just look at Piers Morgan.

Piers is the worse! I mean, why in the world does he care? If it's all that good in the UK, by all means, he needs to head back there! Imagine that, a Brit lecturing Americans on what our rights should be! But he gets extremely emotional and doesn't let any of his guests speak on any subject he's against...

As a dedicated long-time CHL holder, and a strong supporter of our Bill of Rights, including the 2nd Amendment as thus far construed by our Supreme Court, I agree that we need a conversation about guns. For example:

1. We need the NRA to come out of hiding in an undisclosed location and join the conversation, and

2. We need a bunch of spineless U. S. Senators to join this conversation. 'Meet The Press' host David Gregory said that no pro-gun rights senators would agree to go on the show on Sunday. "We reached out to all 31 pro-gun rights senators in the new Congress to invite them on the program to share their views on the subject this morning," he said. "We had no takers." {Emphasis added.] 'Face the Nation' had a similar problem.

Allow the emotions to die down a bit and then choose battles. The object is to win the war. We cannot engage all of wasted screaming and crying. The grabbers want to hammer us with emotion on the national stage. As has been stated ad nauseum, reason and logic does not work at times like this.

Part of the reason for that is because when they DO go on those shows, they are hammered 6 to 1 and barely allowed to utter a word through all of the liberal banter.
