Finger Printing - Name appears incorrectly

Post by Hudson »

This is my first post here. I looked for something related to this but couldn't find it.

When I printed my FAST for for finger printing my name appeared incorrectly on the form. They had my Middle name where my Last name should appear, My Last name where my First name should appear and my First name where my Middle name should appear.

Concerned that this might throw a wrench in things I tried calling MorphoTrust's 888 number but no matter the options I pressed all I was able to do was leave a message and hope for a call back. Then I submitted a comment on their website looking for a solution and got no response. Finally I found a number on their site that was long distance for me. Some one answered right away.

I was told that for Texas CHL applicants the name mangling was normal and when I go to the fingerprinting location they'll go with what's on my license.

I just wanted to put that out there in case anyone else sees the same thing and is concerned.

If there are any problems when I go to get the fingerprinting done I'll post an update.

Mine had that too, the first and last names were reversed.
The FAST employee just changed it when I went to get my fingerprints and that was it.

1)Treat firearms as if they are loaded. 2)Point the muzzle away from non-targets.
3)Keep fingers off the trigger until ready to shoot. 4)Be sure of your target and backstop.

Yup. Name reversal is the norm for the fingerprint stuff. No worries as it all gets sorted out - eventually.

Yep, it was no problem.

Also, I found another thread about this right after I posted... Sorry.

The two sites, DPS & L1, do not play well in the sandbox. Real common for this to happen. As techs we look for this to change it. No worries.
