Obamacare and guns

Post by 57Coastie »

You're a sick senior citizen and the government says there is no nursing home available for you. So what do you do?

Our plan gives anyone 65 years or older a gun and 4 bullets. You are allowed to shoot four Politicians.

Of course, this means you will be sent to prison where you will get three meals a day, a roof over your head, central heating, air conditioning and all the health care you need!

Need new teeth? No problem. Need glasses? That’s great. Need a new hip, knees, kidney, lungs or heart? They’re all covered.

As an added bonus, your kids can come and visit you as often as they do now..

And who will be paying for all of this? It’s the same government that just told you that they cannot afford for you to go into a home.

And you can get rid of 4 useless politicians while you are at it.

Plus, and because you are a prisoner, you don't have to pay any income taxes anymore.

OP or my post?

OP- your guess is as good as mine.

My Post- I don't make the rules or enforce them, but IMHO his post is a violation of forum rules....whether in jest or not.

There are three other threads running about libs calling for the death of NRA members, politicians, etc due to their pro gun stance. I hope the folks who claim to be on our side are better than the left wingers who claim peace while advocating violence.

My apologies, I should have done the quote thing...but I most certainly meant the OP.

This post is in very poor taste. Can we get this deleted soon?

I thought the OP was a well known left winger with a new avatar. Did I get punk'd?

It was simply an effort at off-topic humor. As hinted at by a commentator above, the humor was directed largely at myself, given my political views -- at nobody else. I don't mind if the post goes away, but I must say that I do not see how it could be offensive to anyone other than a member of congress who voted in favor of "Obamacare," or to the Obama administration as a whole -- mostly all friends of mine. This bit of humor was sent to me by a very conservative colleague, a long-time dedicated member of the T-party, and it was intended by him to irritate me. He enjoyed it so much I thought it would be enjoyed here.

I must go further and say that anyone who thinks this "advocates violence" is beyond my comprehension.

I meant no offense to any member of this forum, and if I offended one or more I regret that and apologize.

Um well OK. Seems kind of border line to me. I would think it in poor taste to joke about something like that given todays climate.

So true. I have been reading the obits in the newspaper first for quite some time, just to see if I am listed. It is a Happy New Year if I crawl out of bed on 1/1. ;-)

I nearly didn't; the "sleeps-in" is strong with this one...
