Blumenthal Wants Background Checks for Ammo

Post by Kythas »

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) wants background checks to buy ammo.

This is getting ridiculous.

No, it has been ridiculous for a long time, just getting more so each day.
If the 2nd admendment only applies to muskets and muzzle-loaders, then the 1st admentment must apply only to the spoken or printed word. Printing must be done on hand presses, news stories must be written in longhand, no keyboards or electric processes may be used.

I do not see how that would help at all.
Few firearms owners (already check out) have no ammo at home.
Be without fear in the face of your enemies.
Stand brave and upright that the Lord may love thee.
Speak the truth always even if it means your death.
Protect the helpless and do no wrong!

That's how they do it in Illinois. You must have a FOI card (Firearms Owner Identification) to purchase and keep guns and/or ammo in your residence. To get one requires a federal background check and must be renewed every 4 years.
Armed not dangerous but potentially lethal.

That's funny. Blumenthal was against background checks for his so called military service "in" Vietnam.

Strange thing is that only applies to IL residents. I was visiting family there a few years ago and bought some .40 and .44mag ammo without an FOID card.

We've had enough leftleaning nutz diluting our voting and taking jobs here. How about more of the good conservative and gun loving folks in the communist states relocate to the free states? We'll welcome you! :tiphat:
