I'm back, but...
I am the person formerly known as Heartland Patriot. After several days of thinking about it, I realized that I enjoyed being a part of this online community. I have learned valuable things on here and had some more than interesting discussions.
I don't want to hide anything from anyone. I will say that any information I have posted previously about myself is true. I'm a "retired" Air Force veteran, with a little over 20 years in uniform. I'm an A&P aircraft mechanic. My wife and I have three teens and have been married for over 20 years. I own several firearms and have my CHL. I thoroughly enjoy firearms and believe that armed self-defense is a right, when justified and necessary.
However, no matter what comes to pass in the times ahead of us in regards to gun control laws, I have allowed myself to become far too worked up about it. From here on out, I'm going to do my very best to keep my conversations on a more civil basis. If I disagree with what someone has to say, I will state that in as simple and plain a way as possible, and then say no more about it. Some will agree with me and some will not. So be it.
I apologize for running out like I did and hope I haven't lost the trust of too many folks here. Thank you and may you have a good day.

Welcome back
I put all my guns next to Obama's college transcripts, so they're safe/won't be found anyway
I'm more worried about an upcoming colonoscopy next week than about anyone taking my guns soon.

You were gone?
a new nears resolution to be more civilized ? Well, good for you! Not that I've had a problem with your posts.

Yay! Welcome back!

I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.
