I find it interesting that one of the purposes of the Gun Control Act of 1968 was to eliminate mail-order purchases of cheap handguns that the media used to call "Saturday Night Specials".

The emphasis of some of the current proposed laws are to prevent face-to-face purchases of expensive guns that the media calls "Assault Weapons".
