OK, 10:00 am, Wal Mart here in Tyler, TX. Took the three year old daughter with me as an extra little obstacle to worry with. Did 1 hour, bought some things, bent down and reached up, numerous times. Did the accidental "drop" in a public spot while checking out. Even did "pottie time" with the daughter (always a challenge), and sat on the pottie (while trying to keep her from touching anything in the stall).
This WalMart does not have a McDonalds or food court, only a SubWay. Since my daughter will not eat a sub sandwhich, we skipped that part, then drove directly to Wendy's and had a long lunch there.
I must admit, although I had been practicing some around my home, I was apprehensive on my first "public" appearance. It's cold here today, so I wore a T-shirt and a thick flannel shirt (unbuttoned). I had my PT145 in a Fobus paddle holster. No problems... Well, maybe one!
It is rather windy here today and while walking back to the car (parked 100 yards from the entrance), the wind caught my shirt and blew it back. I was quick to grab it, but it was close! Luckily, my t-shirt is black, and so are the gun and holster, so I doubt anybody could have seen anything, even if it totally exposed the gun.
Anyway, I do like the Fobus and PT145 combo, better than the IWB Bianchi I have. It's just much more comfortable.
Wally Walk complete!
