LT,

Are you a Kimber fan? If so, I have a few questions as this is my first Kimber. I have put 350 rds through it in the last two days and I am curious about a few things.

Website just updated to: Processing Application

Woohoo!

Now I have to keep my fingers crossed that there are not any mistakes and that they like my prints and pics.

I just hung up with the DPS (I was only on hold for maybe two minutes) and was told that my application was approved and that they were just waiting for the plastic to be issued. Today made 60 days. I am not sure how long that takes but he acted like it would be days at most.

Application Completed - license issued or certificate active

Just updated! If all goes well I'll be Wally Walking by the end of the week.

I am not sure what I will do with all of the time saved while not checking the DPS website.

That cracks me up!

Hopefully today is the day. It still has not arrived in the mail.

That's what... 75 days? Ouch. You're not helping me any here, man. I'm at 45, and don't even want to think about having to wait another 30. Were there special circumstances or anything that had to be re-submitted?

No circumstances at all. I am not sure what took so long. I'm as clean as could be and my paperwork was in perfect order. the only guess that I have is that I was in the military and lived in a few different states. I was hoping that with my past security clearance things would go pretty quickly but I guess that has been too long now.

Of course I'm still waiting for the plastic to aarive in the mail. Status changed on Monday early a.m. so I don't know what is taking so long.

Hang in there.

I just stopped by the house to check the mail and there it was... finally.

I think that I figured out what took so long. The picture I sent in makes me look like a psychopath, LOL. They probably held it for a awhile after they saw the picture.

We have guests in from out town, so that will delay my Wally Walk for a few days.

Naw, everybody's looks that way.

NcongruNt: Try not to think about it. Relax, don't check the DPS Website for status, and practice in the comfort of your own home. Mine took 92 days, door-to-door, and the only reason I ever came up with for any out-of-the-ordinary delay was because my background was so squeaky clean.
