Do you ever delete a post before submitting it?
I believe my post count is in the 220 range, BUT I have written many, many more. I will read something on CHL Forum and I will type a great reply, only to "cool off" or think better about my post and delete the whole thing. We all know there are certain things we probably shouldn't put in a post (ie number and types of guns owned) and I try to avoid doing that. Does anybody else sometimes have writers remorse?

Probably not as often as I should.
Chance favors the prepared. Making good people helpless doesn't make bad people harmless.

Sometimes I really wish a lawyer would chime in and clear things up. Do we have any lawyers on this forum?

Re: Do you ever delete a post before submitting it?
I've "lost" many a post because after hitting submit I close the window not realizing it didn't actually submit the post because someone else had posted and it wants to make sure I still want to post my post in light of whatever updated posts have been posted.

A recommended technique for dealing with anger is to write a letter to the person that you are angry with, then put it in a drawer. Next morning, read it and rip it up.

I've deleted a few, and I've also hit the "back" button accidentally before submitting.

Very often. Mostly after my wife reads it and says "don't you dare".

I typed four replies to this thread before posting this one.
Yep.......all the time.

All the time. I probably delete 4 times as many as I post. Most of the ones that I delete really weren't adding anything to the thread. Thankfully, some of the others never saw the light of day.

I will sometimes write a post and think to myself "who really cares about that anyway?" and delete it because I have nothing valuable to add to the discussion.

Lots. I might be over the 7k post limit if I hadn't. Mostly because I started rambling or just figured I really didn't to say anything after all. Sometimes it was because I didn't think it would last long once a moderator saw it.

Yep! I do it a lot.
If anybody here listens to The Ticket in Dallas, you'll be familiar with the term "tired-head".
Sometimes I'll write a detailed post and either give myself tired-head or get tired-head thinking of the responses.
If any of you are annoyed with the posts I DO submit, just think of the ones I've protected you from!
