Collin College video on dealing with an active shooter

Post by grumble »

I have to give Cary Israel credit for wanting to do something to prepare faculty, staff and students for the unlikely incidence of an active shooter.

On a scale of 1 to 10 for content, I rate it...well, let's just say this video is exactly why we need campus carry:

It's really not bad advice if you've already been stripped of your right to self defense. I would prefer to be armed instead.

The most interesting part is when they talk about what to do if you have no other options - get aggressive and attack the attacker. Well doh! Wouldn't that be much easier if I was armed????
The Constitution preserves the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation where the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. James Madison

It's just sad they have the actors holding up plastic chairs - nothing like giving people a false sense of security. And the one scene where all the students are sitting on the floor in the small room - well that's just wrong.

Get away. Create entropy. Do not ever back yourself into a corner where you have nowhere else to go. At least that's my opinion.
