Lead Technical Consultant

Job Description
Charter: Lead Technical Consultants are responsible for the overall technical implementation of customer deployments. They work closely with Project Managers in delivering solutions, on time, on budget in accordance with customer expectation.
Job Responsibilities: Lead Technical Consultants will work on the day-to-day implementation of various deployment types at assigned customer accounts. The Lead Technical Consultant will be required to understand the business issues driving the deployment and be able to convert those into technical requirements and implement the solutions accordingly. The Lead Technical Consultant will also mentor and monitor technical consultants assigned to the same project.

Requirements
Proven experience working directly with external customers in a deployment consulting role
Proven ability to work within the customer environment to successfully deliver product based solutions specific to requirements. Track record on managing customer expectations and delivering to a high level of customer satisfaction
Ability to understand and work within the constructs of project processes, scope, and schedules. Experience in identifying, documenting, and verifying technical requirements; identifying and mitigating risks; and providing accurate and timely technical status reports
Ability to mentor peers in special skills
Ability to travel up to 50%.
Technical Requirements :
Ability to understand the architecture of, and deploy applications on J2EE app servers including Tomcat, WebSphere, and WebLogic
Proven ability to understand, modify and extend existing web application components using Java, Servlets, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, and Struts
Proven ability to work with databases including importing/exporting of data, creation of SQL queries including complex joins. Experience with Oracle and SQL Server required.
Ability to install and administer applications on Windows & UNIX servers.
Windows batch and UNIX bash/sh shell scripting desirable.
Experience with reporting platforms such as BIRT, COGNOS or Business Objects.
