Yesterday I got the receipt for the mailed packet and got my prints done today. It's all over but the waiting. And while I can see how annoying the wait can be, I'm frankly glad to have arrived at this point. I mean it's not like I didn't have other places to spend the licensing fee and money for the class.

Welcome. It will seem like an eternity, especially if you check the website 10x/day like I did. Expect a 2 month process. Use that time to soak up the wealth of info on this forum. Get yourself a good carry rig (good gun belt, holster,etc) and practice carrying at home. Carry in your vehicle to get used to being armed out and about. Throw in some range practice and, by the time your plastic arrives, you will be ready for the wally walk.

Thanks. Yeah there is a lot to learn here. I do like my holster but I really need a belt. Fortunately for me there is plenty of good gun leather to be had here in Texas.

Ours went to manufacturing pending and were mailed the same day! This is by far the worst part of the wait. Maybe because visually checking the website does no good anymore haha
