OK, I'm on the clock too...

Post by Watchful »

Been reading everyone's timelines for a while now... At first it looked like a looong wait, but a few recent posts have been encouraging. Under 60 days? Anyway, to help dull the angonizing wait, I'm posting my timeline.

Online application - December 23rd
Fingerprints - December 28th
CHL Class complete - Jan 12th
Packet mailed - Jan 17th
Current status shows still waiting on documents.

I know everyone says be patient and don't check the status site every day, but I do anyway. :???:

Welcome to the wait... I'm right there with you--checking at least once every day... I guess somewhere in my mind I'm just hoping they hired more people or authorized overtime at DPS... I know, slim chance, but a guy can hope... :)

It looks like the longest wait is for them just to get the documents into the system--around 20-25 days from what I see... Things seem to move quickly after that.

I read on another posting that someone spoke with DPS about the timeline. They were told that DPS has been authorized to work overtime to process apps. That is encouraging, but then again, they were also told DPS received 5000 apps on Monday from one weekend!
