Mass Emailing

Post by Teamless »

I am working with a local kid football program, working on their E-marketing (Website and facebook, etc)

They have asked for a way to mass email the team players, parents, etcs, with any necessary info for the week/season, etc, etc.

Obviously we could use Outlook or a general email program, but having used Email Marketing Programs like ConstantContact, they can be easy to use and do a pretty good job of "personalizing" the emails, with all of them saying "hi all" and it gives the receivers an easy way to opt-out.

The cheapest plan CC has is $15/month ($180/year) and while this may not be a lot of money to some people, the team does not have unlimited funds, so I am asking you all, do you know of any other mailing programs which may be less expensive?
They need to be safe (not spam generating or email address sellers) and need to be easy to use.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you

Our club uses MailChimp. We send to about 850 members.

Their free plan allows up to 2000 recipients and 12000 messages per month. You are limited to two messages a day.

I'm not creative enough to use all of its features, but you should definitely take a look.

MC adheres to all spam laws. Your list may need to sign up individually. This would be done by sending them an email with the MC link.

They allow imported lists if you can convince them the recipients have agreed to receive the emails.

We also use DialMyCalls for the 50 or so members without email. You upload a recorded MP3 and the call is sent to your list. This is cheap, but not free like MC.
