cake with no frosting

Post by liberty2014 »

Friday at about 2:00pm i walked in cabelas in buda, got a ticket at the gun counter and waited an hour to hear my number called. I ask for a 10/22 and the guy says they dont have any so i ask him for a remington 770 package and he sees a 10/22. I buy the gun and ask if they had any ammo and i get a no. I ask again and say since im buying a gun can they check in the back, they check and the answer is the same. It really upsets me that i have a gun that i cant shoot. I know everybody is a hoarder with ammo now, but the damn stores need to have at least one box of ammo for each gun in stock put up so people like me that buy a gun can get some range time in. The gun is still in the box with the green and white cabelas tape on it. Sorry for the rant, but This is like a birthday cake with no frosting.

I hear ya! We've had a Ruger SR22 for over a month and still no ammo to try it out. I'll be glad when this insanity calms down!

I find it funny how all my family now comes to me for ammo and I have to remind them that they thought I was crazy

I will reluctantly trade you 1,050 of 22 for your 10/22. You can borrow it when ever you'd like. :biggrinjester:

Walked into a local Academy about 4 weeks ago and there were 2 cases of Winchester Wildcat just sitting there......

There are 6 boxes of 535 rounds (or something like that) per case for under 20 a box (so $120 for over 3k rounds) x 2

Didn't buy them :banghead: now see individual boxes for over 50 bucks from the gougers

Heard the term "ballistic currency"

Likewise, also see a lot of .17 and 22-250 and a variety of other less popular calibers. I wonder if the prices of these shelf sitters have risen along with the other stuff?
