Anyone remember soldiers in the Rain?

I want to say it was a 50-60's movie. More of just recordings of the army put into a movie. Just curious because I remember at one point my grandad was in the movie for the anthem. Anyone know if it's possible to find this movie?

I remember "Soldier in the Rain" very well, Steve McQueen and Jackie Gleason, it didn't do the book any justice at all.

I honestly only remember the part with my grandad in it. It may of been the only part of the movie I saw, but thanks. I'll look into that movie.
