Here is my comment after reading the story:
I use to think like the others here. Shoot first, then ask questions.
However, after attending Consealed Handgun License class today and hearing this story, I am glad Mr. Magdeleno won't have to go through the trauma of having killed someone, he won't have to go through the process of being 'no billed', and he saved a ton of $ on lawyer fees. Mr. Magdeleno used common sense to first "stop" the burglars. And I'm sure if deadly force had to be used he would have shot them. Fortunately, all turned out well. His life will get back to normal soon.
I pray I never will have to use my weapon. I hope I can be as 'cool headed' as Mr. Magdeleno when confronted in a bad situation. Many may not agree with me. But I learned a heck of a lot in CHL class today. Thank you, Mr. Estep.

Kudos to Mr. Magdeleno.
I look forward to soaking as much information as I can. Thanks.
