OK, I finally made the move to get my CHL after being an avid recreational shooter for years. Don't know why I didn't do this before but glad I finally made the move and also found this website. My question is about the chl-6 form (photo form), I was browsing through this site and saw something about being able to use your DL photo by checking a box on the applicatin form which I did online. I must have missed that option somehow because I wasn't aware of that until looking through this forum. So is there a way to go back and select the option to use my DL photo (I just renewed my DL for the CHL application anyway) now that I've already put in my application? If not does anyone have any recomendations for where to get my photos taken?
I don't remeber seeing a check box on the app, but I may be wrong. I mailed my docs and had the two photos taken at CVS since my DL expires in April and is 6 years old. I didn't want it delayed because of it being that old. All that being said, my first update said basically everything was ok (including photos) and awaiting background check. As stated above, you can just write "use DL for photo" where the photos would go and sign in the box below.

For your original CHL you must send in a 'CHL-6' form. Instead of sending in two photos with it, write across the top 'Use Existing Texas Drivers License Photo' and send it in with your completed CHL-100 from the class.
