Austin Rifle Club Instructor killed by Austin Police

Haven't seen this reported here, but here is a link to the Statesman article. Apparantly, Mr. Schaefer would not relinquish his pistol when police arrived to investigate a pit bull shot. They state he pointed his pistol at the officer and the officer shot him.

Wow, that's unreal. I'm a member at ARC. I did not know Mr. Schaefer, but there must be more to this story. Very sad outcome to a situation that never should have resulted in death.
