Wow...I don't get this one.
FORT MYERS, Fla. - A 16-year-old Cypress Lake High School student, who wrestled a loaded revolver away from a teen threatening to shoot, is being punished.

It was a decision made by a public school Administrator. Enough said.

Reading the article, it seems he was suspended for not cooperating with the investigation. Still stupid reason to suspend him. But hey, no good deed goes unpunished.

Where in the article did you read that? Here's the only thing I saw that gave an explanation:RottenApple wrote:Reading the article, it seems he was suspended for not cooperating with the investigation. Still stupid reason to suspend him. But hey, no good deed goes unpunished.
According to the referral, he was suspended for being part of an "incident" where a weapon was present and given an "emergency suspension."

According to the mother, the school suspended her son because he refused to cooperate in the investigation. She says he was scared.

So he potentially exercises his 5th amendment rights and is punished? Just seems weird.

Fits the liberal meme: the young generation must be indoctrinated to be a helpless victim that will dial 911 and rely upon the government for all their needs.

Zero tolerance....quite common in schools.
Generally, if your kid is say, punched by some bully he may or may not know....the bully and your kid are both suspended.....whether your kid defended himself or not. That sends a message, but not a good one

How convenient. I'm sure if the video supported the administration's actions, the cameras would have been found to be working fine.Authorities were unable to watch the school bus surveillance video because the cameras weren't working.
Is there any organized "Stop zero tolerance" activity? If not, there needs to be.
