Patrick Allen Richards, 61, of Hughesville, MD was shot at a gun range and it is being investigated as an accident. He was my step dad's son-in-law and he and mom are flying to Baltimore today. He was an expert by credentials, was a retired Major of the State Police and was a contractor as a weapons trainer in the State Dept. It was an indoor range and mom and dad didn't really have all the details.
I've been following the news articles, so far sparse and brief, and they all say that it is being investigated as an accident and no sign of foul play and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The latest I saw said that a single shot from his weapon had struck him in the head. I'm scratching my head on that one. Let ya'll know more as I do.
