Taking Class Before Turning 21

Post by AggieFred14 »

I will be taking my CHL course 3 weeks before I turn 21. Is there any part of the application process that I can do before my birthday in order to speed up the process (such as getting the picture done, fingerprinting, etc)? And will I be able to fill out the online application and just not submit it until that day, or do you have to be 21 to even begin that process?

Any suggestions or tips are welcomed!

Thanks!

If you are active duty, or honorably discharged military, you can complete the entire process now.

If you are not, you can only take the class. You cannot complete the application, or have fingerprints taken, until you are 21.
