Survey for guns on campus

Post by nyj »

My local college put up a poll about how students feel about staff or other students having a gun on campus. Unfortunately, the ignorance is leading the poll in no's.

Please take a second and vote.

"*1. Do you feel that guns should be allowed on campus by non-security/police? (students/staff)"
I had to read it a couple times to understand and still don't think I understand the question. I like the use of "feel" in the question. Guns are allowed on campus if you have a CHL, not on the premises, at this time, so the question is about something students/faculty are already authorized by State law.

The email they sent out with it includes information about CHL holders, and the bill for campus carry going into legislation again.

Done. And yes, I did what I could at Lone Star College, Montgomery when I was there.

The question is biassed. It was obviously written by someone opposed to cc on campus. A properly written question would ask if the respondent was in favor or opposed to someone who is properly licensed by the state of Texas or whose non-Texas license is so recognized here, etc. I know though that we have to keep the question short and simple because it is after all a community college and we know haw that goes.....

I would carry my mp5k erryday at work if I could. Since the campus is the most likely place for me to end up shot.

I voted other and said LEO and CHL should be able to have handguns on campus but security shouldn't have guns. :evil2:
